This patented solution (US Patent # 8,183,987 & other pending patents) will provide patients with immediate and bidirectional remote communication with their care providers using three main components: 1) a touch screen device at the patient’s bedside; 2) a hand held device for nursing personnel; and 3) a web-based dashboard for monitoring staff utilization and call request status. Eloquence will record and display the patient’s request, time-stamp the request, and delegate the message to the most appropriate responder. A Registered Nurse or nurse assistant is automatically alerted to the request based on availability and skill-set required to fulfill the need. This comprehensive solution serves as a task management device for care providers to ensure that each patient request can be managed, prioritized, and not forgotten.
